Caroth

A hole ripped through subspace and the Novadad appeared. It sped up and the breach closed behind it.

"Status?" asked Rodriguez.

"We have reached Caroth. We are within orbit. I do not detect any scans coming our way," answered the science officer.

"All right then," said Captain Rodriguez, "Jam any sensors trying to scan us. Then bring us down a few klicks from the Ice City. We don't want any trouble with the people of this planet."

Apocalypse looked about to see if anyone was going to say anything about what he was thinking. No one decided to speak, so he did. "Initiate phase plating."

"But, sir," argued Rodriguez. "We have not run a diagnostic to see if it is able to be used yet aboard this ship. A test has not been-"

"That is enough, Captain," interrupted Apocalypse. "We need that online if we are not to be seen by citizens of this planet."

"Very well," complied the captain. He motioned his holopanel to ship functions and input some codes. Then, a shuddering noise was made as the outer hull of the ship was phased and rendered invisible.

"So long as we stay high enough," stated Project Apocalypse, "they should not be able to see us. It is too bad this ship does not have a full cloaking ability."

"We are beginning our descent," announced the navigator. The ship faced the planet. Caroth was in the main view screen and came closer as they traveled down into its atmosphere.
