Role Playing!

Role playing, or RPing, is the main part of Aphelion. Without RPing all your doing is lurking and that's boring! So once you have you character created, what's that? You don't have a character? Well here's a link the make one! Make sure you check out my guide on how to make one as well! Make sure you read the Application Information thread as well. [aphelion.boards.net/index.cgi?board=charactercreation] So now that you have your great amazing character made, what do you do now? Well you role play! Role playing is playing your character, not your real life self, like acting almost except you don't have written line, you make them up as you go. RPing can be tricky at first but once you get the hang of it, it's very fun! When you are playing your character make sure you stay in character and don't be bipolar unless it says you are in your accepted application. Don't change you personality mid role play. Starting to understand? Good! You're almost there! What is powergaming you might ask! Well powergaming is when you automatically deem yourself succesful without proper permission or a response from the other person/people. Now metagaming! Metgaming is when you use outside information that you learned and you character didn't. Like if your friend tells you something at school, you character doesn't know that yet until say that friend tells you in game.
