300 Years Ago...

Humanity first made its presence known by venturing into the Galaxy. This marks the beginning of modern history. The Human colony of Vari rebelled against the council and formed the Empire of Utijar. The Human were unable to transport their relatively primitive fleet that deep into the core to prevent it. Utijar then slowly grew into the superpower it is today. The other alien races skirmished for outlaying territories, each trying to gain as much power as possible. The Carothians even talked of taking the Human homeworld of Liraa, but this plan was never put into action due to their quarrels with Archiano. This time period is known as the Modern Era.

200 Years Ago...

Liraa was just beginning trade with the Alien races and had opened communication with the Barlek The Barlek quickly became annoyed by their expansionist attitude and ousted them from their world. Caroth-Barlek skirmishes broke out across the galaxy and both sides' leaders and politicians clashed. Utijar was in its prime, prospering with little to no worries. Tall spires broke from the surface and refugees from alien planets flocked to the planet. Utijarian humans accepted them at first, but this was about to change. This time period was known as the Growth Era.

150 Years ago...

Humanity lay on but a speck of dirt on the beautiful planet of Liraa. They were vulnerable to attack, but strengthened their defense by utilizing diplomats and ambassadors. Utijar began to expand its sprawling city and upon wrecking any preexisting structures, the waste and junk was thrown into the Under City. Aliens began to be deported into the echoes below and eventually massive crime rings began to form. Novienia was just a rumor at the local bars at this point, the masses not knowing much of its existence. The Carothians were fighting a fierce war with the Barlek, neither giving an inch of land nor space. Vicious battles in the orbits of Archiano devastated the Barlek fleet, while a land engagement on the surface resulted in a Carothian retreat. A temporary peace was negotiated just 90 years ago, and the races began to re-gear for war. It never came, however, as a new threat had arisen. This time period was known as Troubled Era.

50 Years Ago...

The Human planet of Liraa struck. Massive battle fleets were dispersed in all direction. Planets fell into Human lands one by one, the aliens living there driven away and these systems were assimilated into the United Human Systems. The Barlek and Carothians put aside their differences and united under the Syndicate of Galactic Systems. A gigantic battle raged on Caroth, resulting in a hard won Syndicate victory. Humanity halted their invasions to rebuild their fleet, but are now poised to strike. Utijar still prospers on the surface, but deep below crime gangs rule the sewers. The Novienian Dominion still lays on the Outer Rim of the galaxy in an unknown haven. The Projects there plot deviously on where to unleash their power. War is on the horizon, and this Galaxy needs heroes.

But some will serve as villains...
